Elena Elagina & Igor Makarevich
The Stella Art Foundation presents about twenty works by two Russian artists, Elena Elagina and Igor Makarevich, as an intervention in the galleries of the Picture Gallery of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
In this way an interaction with individual masterpieces in the collection and with the iconological concept of the Museum occurs. On show are sculptures, objects, photographic works, oil paintings as well as manuscripts that relate – both in content and conceptually – to paintings by Albrecht Durer, Pieter Bruegel, Rembrandt, and Frans Snyders. Elena Elagina and Igor Makarevich are among the most important contemporary Russian artists.
