Madonna im Grünen
Die zu einer Pyramide geformte Gruppe ist eingebettet in eine liebliche Wiesenlandschaft, die einerseits das menschlich-irdische unterstreicht, andererseits in ihrem Ausklingen am fernen Horizont den Eindruck des zeitlos-gültigen betont. Damit wird die Madonna im Grünen zur "Ikone" der neuen Geisteshaltung der Renaissance.
