Hungarian art historians seem unable to place this work: although it
is almost always mentioned as one of Csók's most important works
from his Parisian period, no one seems to have attempted an interpretation
of it. Scholars usually deal with and emphasise the dominance of colour.
At the same time, an analysis of some aspects of style and content shows
that the picture is not related to any contemporary school or style.
