Our mission
The Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Weltmuseum Wien, and the Theatermuseum form the KHM-Museumsverband, the largest museum association in Austria and one of the foremost art institutions in the world.
The KHM-Museumsverband is also Austria's leading non-university research center focussed on art and culture. Our collections include magnificent artworks from five millennia and all parts of the world. Our task is to preserve, exhibit and research these unique treasures and to make the results of our research accessible to everyone.
