Christoph Willibald von Gluck
Gluck (1724-1787), der Erneuerer der Oper im Sinne des modernen dramatischen Musiktheaters, ist uns "inszeniert" und offiziell am Spinett vor Augen gestellt. Gleichwohl entstand das wohl überzeugendste Musikerporträt der Geschichte. Der Komponist - das blatternnarbige Gesicht nach oben gerichtet - hält im Augenblick der Inspiration inne. Seelisches: Ergriffenheit, Begeisterung, sind organisch in ein "Standesporträt" eingeflossen.
