DIGITAL RENAISSANCE:
New NFT-Art meets Old Masters

The project Digital Renaissance marks the beginning of the Web3 Journey of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna: hand-picked digital artists create NFT artworks inspired by Old Masters, ancient sculpture or the museum's architecture. The drops are launched in collaboration with the European NFT marketplace Tokapi and are available in strictly limited editions.


DIGITALE INTERVENTION
WALK OF FAME

From 16 November 2023 to 1 April 2024, the Vienna Theatre Museum presented the Walk of Fame intervention together with students and the archive of the Institute for Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna.

The simultaneity of success and persecution:
Discover little-known or in some cases completely forgotten actors* of Viennese theater life between 1900 and 1938.

Virtual 3D tour of the Titian Gallery

We are now offering a new virtual 3D tour of the Titian Gallery via the Discover Culture digital platform under the title The Imperial Titian Collection.

Enjoy the special atmosphere from home and view Titian's art up close using the zoom function. Information about the artworks and their creators can be found directly in the virtual space. Our art educators will also tell you about 16th century Venice and Titian's life.

Every second Tuesday evening we invite you to #ArtAperitivo, our new live talk format on Instagram, and every Wednesday evening we offer you a humorous Instagram live tour through our collections. There are always two themes to choose from for the Wednesday live tours, which you can vote on using Instagram Stories.

BRUEGEL UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

There’s no need to forego Bruegel in the coming days – you can even get really close up to his works. The interactive website www.insidebruegel.net provides images of all Bruegel paintings in our collection in extremely high resolution to gain deep insights and delve into every last detail of Bruegel’s world of imagery.

BARRIER-FREE DIGITAL SERVICES

A new app and an interactive game is making the museum accessible online from home for people with disabilities:

Discover selected works of art and tours of the picture gallery with the app ARCHES – KHM for all: it features detailed object descriptions for the blind and visually impaired, descriptions in easy language and easy-to-read texts, as well as videos in sign language for those with hearing impairments.

Design your own work of art with the interactive game ARCHES – KHM. Choose and combine details from several museum objects and let your creativity run wild.


ENJOYABLY BITE-SIZED MUSEUM HISTORY
