Ansegisel and St. Begga

This depiction of Ansegisel and his wife, St. Begga, two figures from Frankish-Merovingian history in the late 7th century, was probably created in connection with a planned but never executed dynastically oriented “Dukes of Brabant” series. It would have covered the half-mythical early period down to the present.
