Scheibenförmiges Relief (oscillum): Tanzende Mänade
Medaillonartige Reliefs (oscilla; vgl. Inv.-Nr. I 43) dienten zur Ausschmückung römischer Privathäuser und Villen sowie ihrer Gartenanlagen.Hier hält die in Ekstase tanzende Mänade in der Rechten einen Thyrsosstab, in der Linken eine Schlange; vor ihr ein verhüllter Phallus als Fruchtbarkeitssymbol.
